Launched in 2012 by eco-luxe Parisian perfume brand By Kilian, this fragrance has generated quite a stir with both lovers and haters.
It seems like some people don’t pick up on the “gone bad” aspect of this perfume but I sure do and I LOVE it. Good Girl Gone Bad takes a youthful floral “good girl” bouquet to a gorgeous sexy “bad girl” level by bringing out the big guns of cedar and amber.
I smell a delicious blend of Jasmine Sambac and apricot at the opening which gives way to a heady mix of tuberose, narcissus, violet and plum. Along come sensuous rose, tuberose and narcissus to add a little heat. The emergence of amber and cedar create a warm, inviting and animalic edge.
This isn’t an innocent girly girl scent nor is it a sexy diva perfume. I see this as most coveted by a modern woman who loves feeling feminine with a twist of naughtiness. If you’ve always wanted to be a little bad, go ahead and try this!
A 1.7 oz. bottle costs around $260 on Amazon and major departments stores like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. It’s on the pricey side but a little goes a long way and it has amazing longevity.
